India, a country of 150 crore people, is also one of the most ancient civilizations in world history. As such, we Indians can claim to have promoted sports and games not only for the youth but for all age groups since the dawn of prehistoric civilization.
I feel delighted to announce that ABSKA has been created and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and has also been granted exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. We wish that these traditional and native sports should be made a part of the education curriculum across all age groups and in all parts of this country.
The Indian diaspora is widespread all over the world, and as such, we hope that these games shall also spread to other parts of the world. Most of these games and sports do not require large infrastructural facilities and hence do not require too much fundraising.
We hope that a day will come when these games and sports will be included in the Commonwealth Games as well as the Olympic Games. With the motivation of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, some of these games have already been included in the national programme of Khelo India.
We express our sense of gratitude to all the stakeholders who support us in one way or the other.
